Meaningful Work Supporting Residents’ Wellbeing 3Q Recruitment is hiring an Activities Coordinator to support residents within a well-established residential care service in Leopardstown, Co. Dublin.

This Activities Coordinator role focuses on planning and delivering meaningful, person-centred activities that promote residents’ independence, social interaction, emotional wellbeing and quality of life.

Working under the direction and supervision of qualified nursing staff, you will support residents with their daily activities while ensuring their privacy, dignity, interests and individual abilities are respected at all times.

The role combines activity planning, resident engagement, accurate record-keeping and close collaboration with nursing and care teams.

What You’ll Do

• Plan and deliver daily and weekly activity programmes
• Organise arts and crafts, baking, gardening and flower arranging
• Facilitate quizzes, card games, bingo and exercise sessions
• Support walks, sensory activities, hand massage and nail care
• Arrange hairdressing appointments and other resident services
• Support residents attending Mass or other religious services
• Organise outings, garden visits and community activities
• Plan birthday parties, Christmas events and seasonal celebrations
• Tailor activities to residents’ interests, abilities and individual needs
• Maintain accurate activity files, charts and participation records
• Ensure each resident has an accurate and updated Life Story Book
• Keep nursing staff informed of relevant changes in residents’ wellbeing
• Help new residents become familiar with the residential care environment
• Attend required training and education programmes
• Perform escort duties when required, including outside rostered hours where necessary
• Support other appropriate areas of the residential service when required

What You’ll Need

• Relevant qualification in Healthcare, Social Care or a related discipline
• Previous experience in an Activities Coordinator or similar role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational and activity-planning abilities
• Fluent written and spoken English
• A caring, reliable, enthusiastic and empathetic approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
