Looking for a Care Support job in West Cork where you can make a positive difference in someone’s everyday life?

3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Care Support to support adults with physical, sensory and neurological disabilities within community-based services in West Cork.

This permanent part-time role could suit an experienced Care Support, Support Worker, Disability Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Carer or Care Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity centred around independence, dignity and person-centred support.

What You’ll Do
As a Care Support, you’ll help individuals live as independently as possible, providing support based on their individual needs, goals and personal plans.

You’ll:

  • Support individuals with daily living and personal care.
  • Promote independence, dignity, rights and choice.
  • Encourage community participation and social inclusion.
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with the people you support.
  • Follow individual person-centred support plans.
  • Maintain accurate care records.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider support teams.
  • Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred support.

What You’ll Need
We’re interested in hearing from candidates who have:

  • QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support, or are currently completing it; OR
  • QQI Level 6 Social Care or a Nursing qualification.
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities.
  • Full manual driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Availability to work across a 24/7 roster.

Already Working in Care But Don’t Have QQI Level 5?
You may still be eligible.

Candidates with relevant care experience may be considered where they are willing to complete QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support within 18 months of starting.
