3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant / Carer to support adults with physical, sensory and neurological disabilities within community-based services in West Cork.
This permanent part-time opportunity could suit an experienced Healthcare Assistant, Carer, Care Assistant, Disability Support Worker or Care Support Worker who believes in promoting independence, dignity and choice.
What You’ll Do
Your role will focus on helping each person live as independently as possible, based on their individual needs, goals and personal support plan.
You Will:
- Support individuals with daily living and personal care.
- Promote independence, dignity, rights and choice.
- Help individuals participate in their local community.
- Build positive and respectful relationships with the people you support.
- Follow individual person-centred support plans.
- Maintain accurate care records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider support teams.
- Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
What You’ll Need
We’re interested in hearing from candidates who have:
- QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support, or are currently completing it; OR
- QQI Level 6 Social Care or a Nursing qualification.
- Experience supporting people with disabilities.
- Full manual driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
- Availability to work across a 24/7 roster.
Already working in care but don’t have QQI Level 5?
Candidates with relevant care experience may also be considered where they are willing to complete QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support within 18 months of starting.
