Salary: €38,000 – €52,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Fixed-term with potential for permanency
  
Supporting Independence in a Community Setting
  
This Care Support Worker role in Ennis is based within a service supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, with a strong focus on community involvement and everyday independence.
  
You’ll be supporting individuals to build confidence, develop practical life skills, and engage more actively in their local community, through consistent, person-centred support.
  
This is a hands-on role where building trust and maintaining consistency are key.
  
What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily routines
  • Encouraging independence and development of life skills
  • Assisting with community engagement and social activities
  • Providing consistent, practical support day-to-day
  • Promoting dignity, respect, and individual choice
  • Working closely with Social Care Workers and wider teams
  • Following care plans and HIQA-aligned standards

  
What You’ll Bring

  • Relevant qualification (Social Care, Healthcare, or related discipline preferred)
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or in similar settings
  • A practical, reliable, and people-focused approach
  • Strong awareness of safeguarding and professional standards
  • Manual Handling & First Aid (or willingness to complete training)
