3Q Recruitment is recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist disability service supporting people with autism across Leinster.

This opportunity offers the chance to work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred supports that promote communication, independence and quality of life.

Based in Co. Wicklow, the successful candidate will be required to travel across services throughout Leinster as part of the role.
  
The Role
  
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting communication development, assessing individual needs and contributing to person-centred support plans that empower individuals to achieve their goals.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions.
• Undertake communication and competency assessments for individuals supported by the service.
• Develop and implement person-centred communication support plans.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families and support staff.
• Provide guidance and support to staff teams where appropriate.
• Support individuals to maximise communication, participation and independence.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Ensure services are delivered in line with professional standards, legislation and best practice.
• Promote high-quality outcomes and continuous service improvement.

RequirementsEssential Qualifications

• Recognised Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Current CORU Registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate experience as a Speech and Language Therapist.

Desirable

• Membership of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT).

Experience & Skills

• Experience working within Adult Disability Services.
• Experience supporting people with autism desirable.
• Strong understanding of person-centred practice.
• Excellent communication, assessment and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards.
• Full clean Irish driving licence with access to a vehicle and appropriate business insurance.
