3Q Recruitment is recruiting a Healthcare Support Worker to support adults with physical, sensory and neurological disabilities within community-based services in West Cork.

This permanent part-time opportunity could suit an experienced Healthcare Support Worker, Disability Support Worker, Care Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Carer who is passionate about person-centred care, independence and inclusion.

What You’ll Do

As a Healthcare Support Worker, you’ll provide individualised support based on each person’s needs, goals and personal plan.

You’ll:

• Support individuals with daily living and personal care.
• Promote independence, dignity, rights and choice.
• Encourage community participation and social inclusion.
• Build positive and respectful relationships.
• Follow individual person-centred support plans.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider support teams.
• Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

What You’ll Need

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support, or currently completing it; OR
• QQI Level 6 Social Care or a Nursing qualification.
• Experience supporting people with disabilities.
• Full manual driving licence, or currently working towards one, and willingness to drive for work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Availability to work across a 24/7 roster.

Have Care Experience But No QQI Level 5?

You may still be eligible.

Candidates with relevant care experience may be considered if they’re willing to complete QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support within 18 months of starting.
