3Q Recruitment, on behalf of our esteemed client, are searching for a Catering Assistant/Kitchen Porter for a position in North Dublin.

Please note that this is a duel purpose position and so you will be required to undertake responsibilities from both areas.

• Monday to Friday shifts (8am – 5pm, 4-5 days per week)

Requirements:

• Previous exposure in catering or high-volume kitchen environments
• Full-time availability, Monday to Friday
• Authorization to work in Ireland
• Successful completion of Garda Vetting Process
• 2 working references covering 5 years of employment history
• Strong spoken English capabilities

  
Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are cleaned and sanitized promptly to maintain kitchen hygiene standards.
• Supporting chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
• Managing the rotation of food supplies and assisting with inventory control to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Keeping the kitchen area clean, including surfaces, floors, and equipment, to meet sanitation standards and prevent contamination.
• Maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen workspace by storing ingredients, equipment, and supplies properly.
• Receiving and unpacking food deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality, and storing items appropriately.
• Adhering to safe food handling practices, including proper temperature control, to prevent foodborne illnesses.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning kitchen equipment, changing filters, and reporting any maintenance issues to management.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and wearing appropriate PPE.
