Overview:
We are on the lookout for a Catering Assistant to work in a busy hospital kitchen in Dublin 6 to ensure efficient cleaning, organising and maintenance of the culinary space.  Applicants are required to have experience with texture-modified diets.
  
Details:

• Position: Catering Assistant
• Location: Dublin 6
• Shifts: 8am – 5:30pm, 4-5 days per week, including weekends.
• Rate of pay: €15.53 (Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays)

  
Job Tasks:

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen area, including work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
• Washing, drying, and properly storing kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes to uphold sanitation standards.
• Keeping the kitchen pantry clean, organized, and well-stocked with essential ingredients and supplies.
• Properly disposing of waste materials, including food scraps and packaging, in accordance with waste management procedures.
• Conducting regular stock checks, recording inventory levels, and notifying supervisors of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist with various tasks as needed in a dynamic catering environment.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment operation.
• Communicating effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient task completion.

  
What you need to join the team:

• Previous experience in a busy kitchen or catering environment is desirable.
• Previous experience with texture-modified diets.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland (Visa/Work permit if needed)
• References spanning the past 5 years of employment.
• Full-time, flexible availability.
• Proficiency in spoken English.
