Are you a Healthcare Assistant, Activity Coordinator or Occupational Therapy Assistant looking to gain valuable experience within a specialist hospital and mental health setting?
  
3Q Recruitment is recruiting an Activity Coordinator (Mental Health) for a six-month maternity cover position in Dublin 16.

As an Activity Coordinator, you’ll help create meaningful, engaging and therapeutic activities that support residents’ wellbeing, rehabilitation, independence and quality of life.
  
You’ll work alongside professionals across nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, social work, physiotherapy and other healthcare disciplines.
  
What You’ll Do

• Build positive relationships with residents.
• Learn about individual interests, abilities and goals.
• Plan and deliver group and individual activities.
• Support therapeutic and recreational programmes.
• Organise and accompany residents on suitable outings.
• Encourage participation, independence and social engagement.
• Observe and record residents’ responses to activities.
• Share relevant updates with nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support activity programme audits and documentation.
• Complete required training and maintain professional standards.

  
What You’ll Need
We’re particularly interested in hearing from:

• Healthcare Assistants
• Activity / Activities Coordinators
• Occupational Therapy Assistants

  
Candidates should have:

• Minimum 6 months’ relevant experience as an Activity Coordinator, Occupational Therapy Assistant or Healthcare Assistant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, patient and engaging approach.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work weekends when required.

QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support or equivalent is an advantage.
  
Previous experience within mental health services is also an advantage, while a driving licence is preferred.
