Spare An Hour Campaign

Small acts, big impact.

For over 18 years, 3Q Recruitment has proudly run our Spare an Hour campaign — one of our longest-standing CSR initiatives.

Each year, our Temporary Employees and Office Team come together to donate the value of one hour of their pay, with 3Q Recruitment matching the contributions through our Matched Giving programme.

Together, we have raised over €50,000 for worthy causes.

Small individually, powerful together. This is 3Q Putting People First.

What is Spare an Hour?

Spare an Hour is a simple idea with a powerful outcome: when each of us gives a little, together we can achieve a lot.

Each year, our Temporary Employees and Office Team are invited to take part.
Participants donate the value of one hour of pay, with contributions matched by 3Q Recruitment.
Charities and not-for-profit organisations are nominated before a shortlist is selected.
Our Temporary Employees then vote for the organisation they would like us to support.
Once the winner is announced, our people are invited to Spare an Hour and donate.
We also recognise the other shortlisted causes with a contribution.

Over the years, Spare an Hour has supported organisations including Aware, Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Our Lady’s Hospice, Pieta House, CRY Ireland, the Irish Heart Foundation, Friends of St. Luke’s Cancer Care and many more.

When does it happen?

Spare an Hour takes place once a year in October.

Nominations & voting open in early autumn.
Donations are collected in October, with 3Q’s matched giving applied at the same time.
Charity presentations & donation handovers are shared in the weeks that follow.

Why we do it

Spare An Hour Campaign 2025

We’re proud to announce that our team has raised €5,252.24 for our 2025 Charity Partner, CRY Ireland (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

A huge thank you to our amazing Temporary Staff and Office Team who took part in this year’s Spare an Hour Campaign, supporting CRY Ireland’s vital work providing cardiac screening, emotional support, and promoting young heart health awareness.

Every euro raised makes a real difference — this total is a true testament to the generosity and heart of the 3Q team. This is us putting people first.

As part of our Spare an Hour campaign, 3Q Recruitment is proud to donate €500 each to the Irish Heart Foundation and the Friends of St. Luke’s Cancer Care this year.
