Social Care Worker | Intellectual Disability Services | Nenagh, Co. Tipperary

Location: Nenagh, Co. Tipperary
Salary: €38,000 – €52,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-time
Contract: Fixed-term with potential for permanency

This Social Care Worker role is based in a structured intellectual disability service where the focus is on supporting individuals to live as independently and confidently as possible.

You’ll be working in a setting that values consistency, respect, and person-centred practice, where support goes beyond routine tasks and is built around meaningful engagement and long-term development.

What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering person-centred support tailored to individual needs
Promoting independence, life skills, and community involvement
Supporting individuals in day-to-day activities and development
Advocating for choice, dignity, and autonomy
Working within HIQA standards and established care frameworks
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external services

What You’ll Bring

Degree in Social Care (Level 7 or 8)
CORU registration or eligibility
Experience in disability services or similar care settings
Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional practice
Manual Handling & First Aid (or willingness to update)
