This Care Support Worker role in Nenagh is based within a service supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in a structured, community-connected environment.
The role focuses on providing reliable, day-to-day support that helps individuals build confidence, maintain routines, and develop greater independence over time.
You’ll play a key role in delivering consistent, person-centred care that supports both wellbeing and development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily routines
- Encouraging independence through consistent, practical support
- Assisting with community activities and engagement
- Building positive, trusting relationships
- Promoting dignity, choice, and person-centred care
- Working alongside Social Care Workers and wider teams
- Following care plans and HIQA-aligned standards
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant qualification (Social Care, Healthcare, or related discipline preferred)
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or in similar settings
- A consistent, reliable, and people-focused approach
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional practice
- Manual Handling & First Aid (or willingness to complete training)
