What You’ll Do

• Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality and efficient service.
• Lead, supervise and support kitchen staff.
• Plan and prepare nutritious menus tailored to residents’ dietary requirements.
• Oversee modified-texture meals, specialist diets and allergen management.
• Manage food ordering, stock control, portion sizes and kitchen costs.
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, food hygiene and health and safety requirements.
• Ensure food safety documentation and temperature records are maintained accurately.
• Collaborate with nursing, care and management teams to support residents’ nutritional needs.

What You’ll Need 

• Recognised professional Chef qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Head Chef.
• Proven kitchen management and staff supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.
• Experience in menu planning, food costing and stock management.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high catering standards.
• Legal entitlement to work in Ireland.

Desirable
Previous experience in healthcare catering, nursing homes, hospitals or residential care settings.
