Social Care Worker – Mullingar
Community Youth & Family Support | Westmeath

3Q Recruitment is hiring a Social Care Worker to support young people under 18 and their families affected by substance and alcohol misuse in a community-based service in Mullingar.

This is a meaningful, front-line role focused on recovery, wellbeing and resilience.

Work pattern:

1 day per week in Mullingar
1 day per week in Athlone

What You’ll Do

Provide person-centred support to young people
Support parents and families impacted by addiction
Create and review individual support plans
Work with CAMHS, Tusla, schools, GPs and youth services
Keep clear, confidential case notes
Follow Children First and safeguarding procedures

What You’ll Need

Level 7 qualification (Social Care, Counselling, Psychology or related)
Experience in community, youth or social care settings
Strong communication and empathy
Knowledge of child protection guidelines
Legal right to work in Ireland
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
Driving licence and transport desirable

Pay & Benefits

€19.70 per hour
Daytime shifts
Double pay weekends & Bank Holidays
Mileage allowance (Mullingar ↔ Athlone)
