| Healthcare Catering Role (North Dublin / Fingal) 3Q Recruitment is hiring an experienced Relief Chef for a healthcare catering role in Portrane, supporting a busy clinical facility serving the wider North Dublin and Fingal community.

You will be part of a professional healthcare kitchen team delivering nutritious meals that directly support patient wellbeing and care standards.

The Role Working in a healthcare catering environment, you will support daily hospital kitchen operations and work closely with catering managers, dietitians and clinical teams to ensure safe, consistent and high-quality food service.

This role suits chefs with experience in high-volume kitchens, hospital catering, or regulated food environments who value teamwork, organisation and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with patient dietary requirements and clinical guidelines
• Support food production across pastry, salads, cold kitchen, preparation and service areas
• Maintain smooth kitchen operations with consistent quality and strong teamwork
• Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures at all times
• Carry out manual handling and kitchen duties safely
• Manage stock rotation, correct storage and waste reduction
• Ensure accurate allergen management, portion control and presentation standards
• Work with dietitians and clinical teams on specialised menus
• Maintain a safe, compliant and well-organised healthcare kitchen

Requirements

• QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional chef qualification
• Experience as a Relief Chef, Chef de Partie, Hospital Chef or in a high-volume kitchen
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP, food safety and cook-chill systems
• Ability to adapt across multiple kitchen stations
• Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
• Five years of verifiable work references
• Flexibility to work weekday and weekend shifts
• Strong communication skills and a professional, team-focused approach

Pay & Benefits

• €20.50 per hour
• Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
• Full-time hours, day shifts only (Monday–Sunday roster)
