3Q Recruitment is recruiting Kitchen Porters to support a busy healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 18, helping deliver clean, safe and efficient food services for patients, staff and visitors.
  
The facility is easily accessible via the Green Line Luas and multiple Dublin Bus routes, making this role suitable for candidates commuting from South Dublin and surrounding areas.
  
This is a hands-on kitchen support role, suited to candidates with experience in kitchen porter, catering assistant or food service positions who are seeking reliable daytime hours and ongoing work in a structured healthcare environment.
  
The Role
  
As a Kitchen Porter in a healthcare setting, you will support the smooth and safe operation of the kitchen. You will work closely with chefs, catering assistants and ward teams to ensure hygiene and food safety standards are maintained at all times.
  
This role is ideal for candidates who value routine, teamwork and clear expectations, with no late nights or split shifts.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness across kitchen areas, equipment and work surfaces
• Wash dishes, cookware and service equipment to support daily operations
• Assist with basic food preparation, including peeling, chopping and portioning
• Support ward pantry, trolley and beverage station set-up and restocking
• Record temperatures and assist with HACCP food safety checks
• Follow infection control and hygiene procedures at all times
• Work closely with chefs, catering assistants and ward staff to ensure smooth service

  
Requirements

• 6–12 months’ experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant or similar role
• Previous hospital or healthcare kitchen experience is an advantage
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and HACCP
• Legal right to work in Ireland
• Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
• International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
• Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references
• Reliable, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
• Good teamwork and communication skills

  
Pay & Benefits

• €17.53 per hour
• Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
• Daytime shifts only (typically 7:00am–6:30pm)
• Monday–Sunday roster, depending on service needs
