3Q Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to join a busy healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 8, preparing high-quality, nutritious meals that support patient care, recovery and wellbeing.
  
The facility is easily accessible via the Luas and multiple Dublin Bus routes, making this role ideal for candidates commuting from across Dublin City and surrounding areas.
  
This position is suited to chefs with experience in hospital, healthcare or large-scale catering kitchens who are seeking daytime hours, no late nights and stable, meaningful work within a regulated healthcare environment.
  
The Role
  
As a Hospital Chef, you will work as part of a professional healthcare catering team, ensuring meals are prepared and delivered in line with clinical, dietary and food safety standards.
  
This is a structured role offering routine, teamwork and a strong work–life balance.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in line with clinical dietary and nutritional guidelines
• Work across hot kitchen, cold kitchen, preparation, plating and service areas
• Maintain high standards of quality, presentation and portion control
• Follow HACCP, cook-chill, food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
• Manage stock rotation, storage, labelling and waste control
• Ensure allergen compliance and accurate dietary controls
• Work closely with dietitians, catering managers and healthcare teams
• Maintain a clean, compliant and well-organised healthcare kitchen

  
Requirements

• QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional chef qualification
• Experience as a Hospital Chef, Healthcare Chef or Catering Chef
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems
• Legal right to work in Ireland
• Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references
• Reliable, organised and comfortable working in structured healthcare environments
• Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
• International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16

  
Salary & Benefits

• €20.50 per hour
• Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
