3Q Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to join a healthcare catering kitchen in Dublin 2, preparing fresh, nutritious meals that directly support patient care and recovery.

This role is ideal for chefs searching for Hospital Chef jobs in Dublin 2, Healthcare Chef roles in Dublin City Centre, or daytime hospital catering positions within a structured, regulated environment.

The facility is easily accessible via Luas, DART and multiple Dublin Bus routes, making it convenient for candidates commuting from across Dublin City and surrounding areas.

The Role

Working within a hospital kitchen environment, you will deliver safe, high-quality meals aligned with clinical dietary requirements. You will collaborate with catering managers, dietitians and healthcare teams to ensure patients receive meals that meet nutritional and medical standards.

This is a structured healthcare catering role offering daytime shifts only, no late nights or split shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present meals in line with clinical and dietary guidelines
Work across hot kitchen, cold prep, plating and service areas
Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures
Manage stock rotation, food storage and waste control
Maintain allergen compliance and accurate portion control
Support smooth daily kitchen operations
Maintain a clean and compliant healthcare kitchen

Requirements

QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional chef qualification
Experience as a Hospital Chef, Healthcare Chef or Catering Chef
Strong working knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems
Legal right to work in Ireland
Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references
Strong organisational and teamwork skills
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16

Salary & Benefits

€20.50 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Full-time daytime shifts only
No late-night or overnight work
