Catering Assistant Jobs (Kitchen & Canteen) – Dublin 18 | Healthcare Catering Role

3Q Recruitment is recruiting Catering Assistants (Kitchen & Canteen) to support healthcare kitchens and staff canteens in Dublin 18, helping deliver safe, efficient and well-organised food services for healthcare staff and visitors.

The facility is easily accessible via the Green Line Luas and multiple Dublin Bus routes, making this role suitable for candidates commuting from South Dublin and surrounding areas.

These positions are suited to candidates with experience in food service, kitchen support or canteen environments who are seeking structured daytime work, dependable hours and ongoing placements within healthcare catering.

The Role

Working as part of a healthcare catering team, you will support both kitchen operations and staff canteen service, ensuring food is prepared, served and presented to a high standard in a clean and well-organised environment.

This role is ideal for candidates who value routine, teamwork and clear systems, with no late-night or split shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation, service and presentation
Support kitchen and staff canteen operations during service periods
Set up and clear service counters and dining areas
Maintain hygiene, infection control and food safety standards
Restock service areas, fridges and counters
Work closely with catering teams to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, food service or kitchen support roles
Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures
Legal right to work in Ireland
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
Ability to provide five years of work history or references
Reliable, organised and comfortable working in healthcare environments
Good communication and teamwork skills

Pay & Benefits

€17.53 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Daytime and rostered shifts available
Monday–Sunday roster depending on service requirements
