Acute Hospital Healthcare Staffing Case Study

Across hospitals, healthcare facilities, Section 38 and Section 39 organisations, not for profit groups and For eight years, 3Q Recruitment has supported a major acute hospital with reliable, fully trained and fully vetted temporary staff across catering, cleaning and portering services. This case study demonstrates how our People First approach, strong compliance framework and recognition-led culture deliver consistent staffing, high retention and service continuity within a busy healthcare environment. It also highlights our ability to provide temporary staffing solutions that strengthen hospital operations, support patient care and reduce pressure on in-house teams.

Building a Reliable, Skilled and People First Workforce

We support the Hospital with catering assistants, chefs, kitchen porters, general porters, cleaners and catering supervisors. Today, more than 50 trained and vetted temporary staff are available on the active panel.

Every worker completes Garda vetting, reference checks and a full suite of mandatory training, including Infection Prevention and Control, HACCP, Children First, Safeguarding, Fire Safety and Manual Handling. Chefs also hold a Level 6 qualification in Professional Cookery or equivalent.

By supporting, developing and recognising our workforce from the outset, we ensure every individual arrives confident, prepared and committed to contributing safely and professionally to the Hospital’s care environment.

Recognition That Strengthens Performance and Retention

As part of our People First strategy, staff working in this Hospital participate in our monthly Employee Recognition Awards and our Annual Employee of the Year programme. Celebrating reliability, teamwork and service excellence directly contributes to stronger performance and long-term retention.

Recognition builds pride.
