For the past 17 years, 3Q Recruitment has proudly run our Spare an Hour campaign — one of our longest-standing CSR initiatives. Each year, our Temps and Office Team come together to donate the value of one hour of their time, and 3Q Recruitment matches every contribution through our Matched Giving programme.
What is Spare an Hour?
Spare an Hour is a simple idea with a powerful outcome: when each of us gives a little, together we can achieve a lot.
- Every autumn, our Temps and Office Team are invited to take part.
- Participants pledge the value of one hour of pay (or one hour of work), which is then matched in full by 3Q Recruitment.
- A charity, nominated and voted on by our team, receives the total fund raised.
- To recognise the importance of all causes nominated, the two runner-up charities also receive a contribution.
Since its launch, Spare an Hour has supported incredible organisations including Aware, Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Our Lady’s Hospice, Pieta House, and many more.
When does it happen?
Spare an Hour takes place once a year in October.
- Nominations & voting open in early autumn.
- Donations are collected in October, with 3Q’s matched giving applied at the same time.
- Charity presentations & donation handovers are shared in the weeks that follow.
Why we do it
