Celebrate Nurses is a positive recognition and gratitude campaign launched in 2012 in support of International Nurses Day on May 12th.
What began as a simple initiative to gather social media messages of thanks using the hashtag #CelebrateNurses has grown into a nationwide campaign celebrating the dedication, professionalism and compassion of nurses across Ireland.
Each year, patients, families and colleagues share their stories of appreciation online, recognising the nurses who have made a difference in their lives. These messages highlight the impact nurses have in hospitals, community settings and residential care services throughout the country.
The campaign has evolved into a powerful national expression of gratitude, bringing together thousands of voices in recognition of the nursing profession.
