3Q Recruitment is recruiting Kitchen Porters to support busy healthcare catering kitchens across Tullamore and the wider Midlands, helping deliver safe, hygienic and efficient food services for patients, residents and staff.
  
This is a hands-on healthcare kitchen role, suited to candidates with experience in high-volume kitchens, hospital catering or food service environments who are looking for daytime shifts, dependable hours and longer-term opportunities within healthcare catering.
  
Key Responsibilities
  

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation across kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils
• Wash dishes, cookware and service equipment to support continuous kitchen operations
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, including peeling, chopping and portioning
• Support ward pantry, trolley and beverage station set-up and restocking
• Record temperatures and assist with HACCP food safety compliance
• Follow infection control and hygiene procedures at all times
• Work closely with chefs, catering assistants and ward teams to ensure smooth service delivery

  
Requirements
  

• 6–12 months’ experience in a kitchen porter, catering assistant or high-volume kitchen role
• Previous healthcare or hospital kitchen experience is an advantage
• Basic understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
• Legal right to work in Ireland
• Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
• International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16
• Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references
• Reliable, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

  
Pay & Benefits
  

• €17.53 per hour
• Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
• Daytime shifts only, typically between 7:00am–6:30pm
• Monday–Sunday roster depending on service requirements
