This role provides full-time hours in a dynamic kitchen environment. 

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene while supporting the kitchen team to deliver top-quality food service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils, strictly adhering to health and safety standards.
• Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks to ensure efficient meal service.
• Organise and maintain kitchen storage areas to support smooth operations.
• Support Chefs by washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients for meal preparation.
• Follow all HACCP guidelines and food safety procedures.
• Record food and fridge temperatures in adherence to food safety regulations.
• Ensure refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas are kept clean and organized.
• Properly manage waste disposal and recycling to maintain a tidy work environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff for seamless kitchen operations and timely meal delivery.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a kitchen or catering environment (healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential).
• Legal right to work in Ireland and successful completion of Garda Vetting.
• Provide references outlining 5 years of work experience.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• High standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
