HR Executive – Heart of Our People Team

This isn’t a tick-the-boxes task list. It’s a dynamic and strategic HR role designed for a proactive person who thrives in an SME environment. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with a core team of 10 internal staff (plus 2 remote team members) and up to 200 temp agency workers, you’ll be the engine behind our people systems — from L&D and policy to compliance, culture, legal support, and office operations.

What You’ll Own and Drive:

✔️ Team Learning & Development — onboarding, SOP training, and individual training plans
✔️ SOP Management — ensuring procedures are regularly reviewed, updated, and trained across the team
✔️ HR Systems & Documentation — maintaining accurate, compliant indexes and policies
✔️ Compliance — monthly HR audits, reporting, and risk mitigation
✔️ Complex HR Issue Management — resolving escalated HR issues in collaboration with external legal advisors and your own expertise
✔️ Recruitment Support — sourcing, coordinating, and onboarding internal hires
✔️ Employee Relations — supporting performance, engagement, and retention
✔️ Office Operations — overseeing office and canteen supplies, and ensuring a well-supported working environment
✔️ Employer Branding & Culture — sharing our story and values online and in person

Who This Role is Right For:

You’re not downshifting. You’re stepping up. You’ve built a strong foundation in HR and now want to run the full show — in a business that rewards initiative, energy, and impact.
✔️ 2+ years in a standalone or SME HR role
✔️ CIPD qualified or working toward it
✔️ Excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal savvy
✔️ Proven experience with HR compliance, policy, and L&D
✔️ Bonus if you’ve worked with temp staffing or agency models
