3Q Recruitment Ireland is recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to support a healthcare facility in County Wicklow, preparing high-quality, nutritious meals that directly support patient care, recovery and wellbeing.

This is a hands-on healthcare catering role, ideal for chefs with experience in hospital kitchens, HSE services or large-scale catering environments who value consistency, clear standards and meaningful work.

The Role

Working within a regulated healthcare kitchen, you will play a key role in delivering safe, compliant and reliable food services. You’ll collaborate with catering managers, dietitians and healthcare teams to ensure meals meet clinical, dietary and nutritional requirements.

This role suits chefs seeking stability, purpose-led work and daytime shifts, rather than late-night hospitality hours.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present nutritious meals aligned with clinical and dietary guidelines
Support daily hospital kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and consistent service
Follow HACCP, cook-chill, food safety and infection control procedures
Manage stock rotation, storage, labelling and waste control
Maintain allergen compliance, portion control and presentation standards
Work closely with healthcare and catering teams to meet service demands
Uphold high hygiene and safety standards in a healthcare environment

Requirements

QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional chef qualification
Experience as a Hospital Chef, Healthcare Chef or Catering Chef
Strong working knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene and cook-chill systems
Legal right to work in Ireland
Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references
Organised, reliable and comfortable working in regulated settings
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16

Pay & Benefits

€20.50 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Daytime shifts only (no late nights)
