Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Provide clinical guidance and expertise, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
  • Oversee patient care from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure recovery, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Manage staffing levels, equipment, and supplies to support smooth operations.
  • Implement quality assurance measures and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with other departments and healthcare professionals.
  • Advocate for patients’ needs and rights throughout their care journey.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and performance evaluations.

We’re Seeking:

  • Full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
  • Minimum of 5 years post registration experience, of which 2 years in a Cath Lab.
  • A background in management with outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication abilities, including a demonstrated aptitude for people management, team leadership, and service delivery. Possessing a managerial or leadership qualification would be beneficial.
  • A flexible approach to work patterns is a must.
