Social Care Worker – Athlone Community & Youth Support | Westmeath

3Q Recruitment is hiring a Social Care Worker to support young people under 18 and their families affected by substance and alcohol misuse in a community-based healthcare service in Athlone.

This is a meaningful front-line role focused on recovery, wellbeing and resilience.

Work pattern:
• 1 day per week in Athlone
• 1 day per week in Mullingar

What You’ll Do

• Support young people through person-centred care
• Work with families affected by addiction
• Develop and review individual support plans
• Liaise with CAMHS, Tusla, schools, GPs and youth services
• Maintain clear, confidential case notes
• Follow Children First and safeguarding procedures

What You’ll Need

• Level 7 qualification (Social Care, Counselling, Psychology or related)
• Experience in community, youth or social care settings
• Strong communication and empathy
• Knowledge of child protection guidelines
• Garda Vetting and right to work in Ireland
• Driving licence and transport desirable

Pay & Benefits

• €19.70 per hour
• Daytime shifts
• Double pay weekends & Bank Holidays
• Mileage allowance (Athlone ↔ Mullingar)
