Job Title: RNID Nurse

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced RNID Nurse for our clients, located in Tipperary. Join a team dedicated to empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives. Our esteemed client, is a leading provider of residential care to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and mental health conditions in Ireland.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to individuals in organizing and managing their daily schedules.
- Supervise the safe administration and handling of medications.
- Create and implement comprehensive health assessments, medication plans, and other necessary documents, such as personal, epilepsy, and diabetic care plans.
- Assist the Person In Charge/Operations Manager in compiling and presenting reports.
- Ensure the proper delivery of Health Action Plans to all service users.
- Cultivate positive relationships with local primary healthcare services within each individual’s community.
- Apply nursing expertise to offer effective frontline care to all service users.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
- Work closely with individuals, their families, and other support systems as outlined in personal care plans.
- Assist service users in attending health appointments and follow up on healthcare recommendations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the personal information of service users.
- Promote a person-centered approach through key worker systems and shared goal setting, while ensuring confidentiality.
- Encourage and support service users in maximizing their involvement in community activities.
- Provide training sessions as directed by management.
- Uphold strict confidentiality related to both staff and service users.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid NMBI Pin is mandatory.
- Nursing qualifications, post-graduate relevant qualification.
- Registered with An Bord Altranais.
- Experience working within a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of the unique needs of individuals.
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of medication management.
- Proven experience in providing support and building relationships with people in a caring role.
- Possession of a full, valid driving license.
