We are recruiting a Hospital Chef to support a busy healthcare facility in North Dublin, serving the wider Fingal and County Dublin area. This is a hands-on healthcare catering role, where your work directly supports patient wellbeing through high-quality, nutritious meal production.

This position suits an experienced chef with hospital, healthcare catering or high-volume kitchen experience, who is confident working across multiple stations in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with patient dietary requirements and clinical guidelines
• Work across multiple kitchen sections, including hot food, cold kitchen, prep, pastry and salads
• Support smooth daily kitchen operations with consistent quality and service standards
• Carry out manual handling and heavy lifting tasks safely when required
• Follow all HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures
• Manage stock rotation, food storage, labelling and waste reduction processes
• Maintain portion control, allergen management and presentation standards
• Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare teams on menu planning and dietary support
• Maintain a clean, compliant and well-organised healthcare kitchen environment

Requirements

• QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional chef qualification
• Experience in hospital kitchens, healthcare catering or high-volume food service environments
• Strong multi-station capability in a busy kitchen setting
• Excellent knowledge of HACCP, food safety and cook-chill systems
• Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
• Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references
• Flexibility to work across a Monday–Sunday roster
• Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills

Salary & Benefits

• €20.50 per hour
• Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
• Full-time hours with day shifts only (no late nights)
