We are seeking a skilled Hospital Chef to join a busy healthcare facility in North Dublin, serving the wider Fingal and County Dublin community. This is a rewarding hands-on role where you’ll prepare and deliver fresh, nutritious meals that support the wellbeing of patients, staff, and visitors.

Working in a fast-paced healthcare kitchen, this role involves a mix of cooking, preparation, and manual handling tasks, ideal for an experienced chef who thrives under pressure and enjoys teamwork in a clinical catering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present nutritious meals in line with patient dietary needs and clinical guidelines.
• Work across multiple kitchen stations, including pastry, cold kitchen, prep, and salads.
• Lead or support smooth daily kitchen operations with high standards of quality and consistency.
• Safely carry out manual handling and heavy lifting tasks when required.
• Adhere to all HACCP, food safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Oversee stock rotation, food storage, and waste reduction procedures.
• Monitor food presentation, portion control, and allergen management.
• Collaborate with dietitians and clinical teams on menu planning and dietary support.
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and well-organised kitchen environment.

Requirements

• QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary qualification.
• Experience in healthcare or high-volume catering with multi-station competence.
• Comfortable working in a busy kitchen with manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and cook-chill procedures.
• Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting.
• Ability to provide 5 years of verifiable work references.
• Flexibility to work weekday and weekend shifts.
• Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.

Salary & Benefits

• €20.50 per hour, with Double Pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
