Hospital Chef – Dublin South West | Healthcare Catering Role

3Q Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Hospital Chef to support healthcare catering kitchens across Dublin South West, including areas such as Tallaght, Clondalkin, Lucan, Rathfarnham and surrounding locations.

Facilities in this area are accessible via Luas and Dublin Bus services, making the role suitable for candidates commuting from across South Dublin and surrounding areas.

This role suits chefs with experience in healthcare, hospital or large-scale catering kitchens who value structure, teamwork and daytime working hours.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present meals in line with clinical dietary guidelines
Work across kitchen production, preparation, plating and service
Maintain quality, consistency and portion control standards
Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and cook-chill procedures
Manage food storage, labelling, rotation and waste control
Ensure allergen awareness and dietary accuracy
Collaborate with healthcare and catering teams
Maintain a clean and compliant healthcare kitchen

Requirements

QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent qualification
Experience as a Hospital Chef or Healthcare Catering Chef
Strong knowledge of HACCP and cook-chill systems
Legal right to work in Ireland
Ability to provide five years of verifiable work references
Organised and comfortable working in regulated environments
Garda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.
International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16

Salary & Benefits

€20.50 per hour
Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
Daytime shifts only
No late nights
