Catering Assistant in Dublin 24, €15.90 per hour

Join our team as a Catering Assistant in Dublin 24 and contribute to delivering high-quality food services that directly enhance patient care in a healthcare setting.

We are hiring flexible Catering Assistants for full-time roles with varying hours, Monday to Friday, and some weekend availability. Shifts range between 7 AM and 7 PM. You’ll also enjoy double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays, making this one of the most rewarding kitchen hygiene jobs in Dublin!
  
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Catering Assistant, your role will involve:

• Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals and beverages, ensuring dietary needs and restrictions are met with care.
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas according to health and safety regulations.
• Following HACCP procedures and adhering to infection control policies.
• Ensuring food is stored, labelled, and rotated correctly to prevent waste and maintain quality.
• Delivering meals to patients at their bedside and providing necessary assistance when required.
• Managing waste and recycling according to established protocols.
• Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service and on-time meal delivery.
• Stocking ward pantries with food supplies for daily services.

  
What You Bring to the Team
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about fostering well-being in a healthcare environment. Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a catering or high-volume kitchen environment, preferably in healthcare facilities.
• Legal eligibility to work in Ireland with successful Garda Vetting completion.
• References covering a 5-year work history.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
• A commitment to kitchen cleanliness, hygiene standards, and infection control policies.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
