3Q Recruitment is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 in the Cardiothoracic Theatre on behalf of our client, located in Cork.
As a CNM2, you will consistently enhance and uphold the highest standards in patient care. You will help optimize the efficient use of hospital resources while promoting staff growth and development in a learning environment, providing support, motivation, and guidance to all team members under your supervision
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage nursing staff in the cardiothoracic theatre to ensure optimal patient care.
- Ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care is maintained at all times.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical team members to facilitate efficient theatre operations.
- Develop and implement protocols and procedures to enhance theatre efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Manage resources effectively, including staff scheduling, equipment, and supplies, to meet the needs of the theatre.
- Provide leadership and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Support professional development and training opportunities for nursing staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Serve as a point of contact for patient and family concerns, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with hospital administration to align theatre operations with broader organizational goals and initiatives.
Essential Qualifications/Requirements:
- Valid NMBI Pin is mandatory.
- Qualification in Management.
- 5 years’ post registration experience in an acute general.
- 2 years’ experience in Cardiothoracic experience is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver skilled clinical and technical expertise as part of the Theatre nursing team.
- Completion of a relevant course in Peri-Anaesthesia and/or Peri-Operative nursing, or equivalent, is essential.
- Experience in preceptorship, teaching, and assessing students is highly desirable.
