Position: Catering Officer (Grade 3)
Hours: 12 days over a 14-day period (hours vary depending on client requirements)
Location: Dublin 1

We are actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Catering Officer (Grade 3) to join our team. This role requires flexibility, working 12 days over a 14-day period, with hours tailored to meet client needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional catering services, management, and operational support within our organization.

The ideal candidate will bring both experience and expertise to the position. A minimum of three years of relevant experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service management role is essential. Additionally, applicants must hold a BA Honors in Hotel and Catering Management along with a qualification in HACCP Management.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision of high-quality catering services, ensuring all client requirements are met to the highest standard.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards, maintaining adherence to HACCP guidelines.
  • Manage resources efficiently, including staff, stock, and budgets, to deliver cost-effective operations.
  • Provide leadership and support to the catering team, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to catering activities, staff schedules, and client interactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure all catering arrangements align with expectations.

Requirements and Skills:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a catering, food service, or hospitality management role.
  • BA Honors degree in Hotel and Catering Management.
  • HACCP Management qualification.
  • Proven organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients and staff.
  • Ability to adapt to varying work schedules and client requirements.
  • Proficiency in relevant software for record-keeping and reporting.
  • A commitment to providing superior customer service and fostering positive working relationships.
