Location: Drogheda
Hours: 7am -6pmRoster varies, including weekends and Bank Holidays
Salary: €15.90

Join our team as a Catering Assistant in our client’s health facility in Drogheda. As a Catering Assistant, you’ll contribute to delivering exceptional service standards while ensuring patients and staff enjoy nutritious meals in a safe, hygienic environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver appealing, nutritious meals to patients and staff in the cafeteria.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards in compliance with HACCP, Infection Control Guidelines, and hospital policies.
  • Clean and sanitise kitchen areas, appliances, and utensils, following best-practice cleaning schedules.
  • Conduct regular stock checks of kitchen equipment, food supplies, and utensils.
  • Ensure food safety by monitoring temperatures, labelling, and proper storage.
  • Organise patient meal trays and handle the plating and serving of meals with care.
  • Assist with special events and setup for meetings or functions when required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a catering environment (healthcare or hospitality).
  • Understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to support shift work, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
  • Familiarity with kitchen hygiene standards and infection control policies.
  • Strong organisational skills for stock management and work planning.
