Catering Assistant – Dublin 8
We’re hiring a Catering Assistant in Dublin 8 to join a busy healthcare facility. It’s a hands-on, rewarding role, where you’ll play an important part in supporting patient care through the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals and drinks to service users and staff.
- Assist in the safe, respectful delivery of meals during mealtimes.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchens, equipment, and utensils.
- Follow HACCP food safety and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Support stock rotation and maintain adequate kitchen supplies.
- Work collaboratively with catering and support teams to ensure smooth daily service.
Requirements
- 6–12 months’ experience in catering, kitchens, or hospitality (experience in community or healthcare settings an advantage).
- Working knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.
- Legal right to work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.
- Ability to provide 5 years of work references.
- Reliable, flexible, and an excellent team player with strong communication skills.
Salary & Benefits
- €17.53 per hour
- 20-hour contract, with shift options: 8:00am–12:00pm or 1:00pm–7:00pm.
- Monday to Sunday roster with overtime available.
